SAM/AD – Consumer

One of our absolute favourite agencies (THE nicest bunch of people in the world!) is seeking a Senior Account Manager or Junior AD/AD to work in their consumer brands division on some mouthwatering accounts.

These are not completely set in stone but likely to be a leading alcohol company (looking after several brands) and two other big brand consumer clients.

You’ll be doing everything from product launches to big brand campaigns, advertising amplification to music and club sponsorship as well as drinks based initiatives, even festivals…

You will also be involved in some FMCG/global work which has a bit of a brand and issues based theme to it so you’ll never be bored!

The position would suit an ambitious and intelligent SAM with at least a year’s experience in that role with a proven track record in FMCG and big brand campaigns and (ideally) big agency experience. It is vital to have skills in leading and inspiring a strong and established account team, and helping to develop individual’s careers.

You’ll be doing lots of senior client liaison, so they are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude; who is bright, results-driven, hardworking, highly organised, enthusiastic and passionate. You’ll have a proven track record in client relations plus campaign and team management skills, and enjoy working within a team but are also a self-starter and show initiative and creativity to source solutions. You will need to demonstrate excellent press release and advertorial/copy writing (both consumer and trade) and be able to write proposal (Word, PowerPoint) documents to a high standard. Excellent media contacts and a passion for generating coverage are essential.

Day to day responsibilities include: campaign and budget management, client contact and management, team management, problem solving, fresh thinking and generating media coverage as part of both a press office and on specific projects. Input into developing strategies and creative solutions as well as provide support on new business development.

Summary of Requirement

A Senior Account Manager or Account Director with clear strategic, creative and writing abilities and the detail and process skills to ensure activity is delivered on time, to budget and target.

Must be confident, mature and responsible, able to communicate at Marketing Director level, strong presentation skills and work alongside directors in other marketing agencies. Must have excellent understanding of the media and knowledge of other marketing disciplines will be helpful as 360 campaigns are run for most brands.

Candidates need to be strong across a wide range of areas, confident, able to think on their feet and integrate with other client agencies and stakeholders.
