Senior Account Executive (Digital/Social Media)

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic SAE with excellent digital and social media experience to join an award winning integrated communications agency with an array of corporate and consumer clients. These span food, drink, entertainment, broadcast, travel and much more.

Working on existing projects, selling new client projects and pitching for new business, this role is ideally suited to an ambitious and intelligent individual who wants to carve their own role within a small agency and advance quickly.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of online and digital and the rest of the team. He or she will be responsible for working on day to day implementation of online activity as part of the integrated offer, which could include advising on strategy, creating content, engaging influencers, managing communities and monitoring the web.

They will need to have excellent on and offline media relationships, and the maturity to provide advice to clients.

Experience
· In depth agency experience (PR and ideally gained in 1-2 agencies)
· Strong PR/comms grounding with a focus on digital/social media
· FMCG clients – mix of blue chip and challenger brands an advantage
· Track record in implementing successful online initiatives from start to finish

Key skills
· Confident self starter with initiative and common sense
· Excellent communication skills – written (releases, reports, documents, presentations) and verbal (client meetings, presentations, new business)
· In-depth understanding of the opportunities and challenges of online communication/social media
· Proactive and enthusiastic – taking an important digital and social media role within the agency, helping implement projects from start to finish
· Knowledge of SEO, search and other supporting online marketing disciplines
· Creative – able to come up with new ideas for clients and convert into client documents
· Media savvy with ‘little black book’ of quality contacts
· Commercially and financially aware (business issues, preparing client budgets)
· Strong presentation skills
· Highly organised and able to juggle projects and work under pressure and to tight deadlines
· Ability to work as part of a team and passionate about doing the very best job
· Highly intelligent with a good dose of humility

Responsibilities
· Day to day running of client projects with focus on digital and social media programmes to meet specific client requirements – ie increase visibility, drive traffic
· Preparing for and attending client meetings and follow up including contact reports and review documents
· Owning key media relationships – across consumer, trade, client sector specific (online and offline)
· Creating and managing content including drafting community management and social media guidelines
· Monitoring trends in the digital and social media space and keeping our clients up to speed with the latest trends in digital and social media
· Setting up and managing online communities and social media channels on behalf of clients
· Measuring and evaluating the impact of digital/social media as part of overall comms campaigns
· Supporting new business in the form of ideas, document preparation and being a key part of the pitch team
